Obituary

HUMBOLDT - Nancy Marie Peterson, 81, of Humboldt, formerly of Coalville, died Friday, December 25, 2020, at the Humboldt North Care Center in Humboldt. Services will be 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge. A time of gathering for family and friends will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Thursday at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

Nancy Marie Moses, the daughter of Wayne and Moneta (Wedge) Moses, was born December 4, 1939, in Cherokee, Iowa. She lived in Cherokee before moving to Fort Dodge in 1957. In 1958, Nancy married Alan Peterson and they made their home in Otho. Nancy moved to Coalville after they divorced. Nancy worked at K-Mart in Webster City for 17 years. She later retired from Electrolux in Webster City after she worked there for 7 years.

She is survived by her three children, Lori (Todd) Locke, Sandy (Lon) Swanberg and Dean Peterson; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Dee (Bill) Page and Marsha (Fred) Vanderhoff. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, two sons Daniel and Michael, a granddaughter Brandi Swanberg and a great granddaughter Keirstyn Swanson.
