Richard "Dick" Heman, 93, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, formerly of Fort Dodge, Iowa, died January 3, 2012 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Carroll, Iowa. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services are entrusted with arrangements.

Richard Patrick Heman, the son of Fredrick and Cecil (Hegarty) Heman, was born April 11, 1918 in Fort Dodge. He graduated Fort Dodge Senior High in 1937 and attended junior college. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Dick was united in marriage to Donna Henderson of Primghar, IA on November 4, 1940. Dick was employed with International Harvester for 38 years. The couple left Fort Dodge in 1957 and lived in Sioux City, IA, Omaha, NE, Brookings, SD, Madison, WI and retired in Bella Vista, AR.

Dick is survived by his son Dick (Cheryl) Heman of Carroll, his grandchildren Kimberly (Jeremy) Boes and Jennifer Heman, 4 great grandchildren, and his sisters Ann (Gene) Person of Fort Dodge and Virginia Archer of Cedar Falls. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna, his brothers Bob, John and Sumner Heman.
