Stanley Schrepfer, 91, of Harcourt, died February 2, 2007 at Tompkins Memorial Health Center.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at Gunderson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Paul Peebler officiating. Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors to be presented by the VFW Post 1856. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Gunderson Funeral Home.
Stanley Ray Schrepfer, the son of Gus and Lenora (Bryson) Schrepfer, was born on October 16, 1915 in Bonaparte, Iowa. As a young child he moved with his family to Fort Dodge and attended school in Fort Dodge. On October 17, 1936 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Drummond in Eldora, Iowa. The couple made their home in Fort Dodge and in later years in Burnside and Harcourt. During WWII from 1944 - 1946, Stanley served in the U.S. Army over in Europe. Stanley was employed for many years at Vincent Clay Products and later with Fullerton Lumber Company until his retirement.
Stanley was a member of First Baptist Church of Burnside.
Survivors include his daughters, Kay Wesley of Council Bluffs and Linda (Dan) Rodman of Wall Lake; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie in 1996, his parents, and his siblings Donald Schrepfer and Bonnie Olson.
Memorials may be directed towards Hospice of Fort Dodge.
